Strap for Nautilus 5811 White Gold / Haute Joaillerie
Integrated bracelet: measurements, the most common questions, and the way to a made-to-measure strap.
Integrated bracelet
The Patek Philippe Nautilus 5811/1460G-001 is designed with a bracelet integrated into the case. For a compatible made-to-measure strap, the Casati Milano atelier builds it on your watch.

Frequently asked questions
Can a strap be fitted to the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5811/1460G-001?
Not in the traditional sense. The bracelet is integrated into the case: there are no standard lugs to attach a ready-made strap. The only viable route is to build a bespoke attachment directly on the watch, at the atelier.
How does the bespoke strap process work for this Nautilus?
I work by appointment only, at Casati Milano, Via XX Settembre 15, Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, study the geometry of the case, and construct an attachment that integrates with the original structure. I do not work remotely, and I do not work without seeing the watch in person.
Which leather do I recommend for this model?
I prefer naturally aged Barenia. It is a leather that develops character over time without being loud, and on a white gold case with a diamond pavé it works precisely because it does not compete with the case — it accompanies it. Mississippi Alligator is my other choice when the client wants a more structured texture, always elegant, never excessive.
How long does a well-made strap last?
A strap made from first-quality leather and hand-stitched lasts between five and ten years of daily wear, sometimes longer. Barenia improves with age: it absorbs light, softens, and tells the story of the time it has lived. Care is straightforward: avoid prolonged contact with water and condition the leather two or three times a year with a natural conditioner.
What makes the white gold and diamond Nautilus different from other Nautilus models?
The diamond pavé is not an ornament applied on top: it is part of the case architecture, following the lines that Gérald Genta conceived for this porthole shape. I have seen many Nautilus watches at the bench over the years, but this one has a different visual density — light behaves in a wholly particular way across its surfaces. For anyone wearing this watch, every surrounding detail must be equal to it, without exception.
