For the bronze Divers 65, we recommend three options: alligator in vegetable tanning (which converses chromatically with the patina of bronze), FKM rubber (resistant to salt water and UV radiation, the functional choice for marine environments), and NATO in robust canvas (a minimalist tool-watch solution). Your choice depends on primary use: aesthetic formality requires natural leather, marine resistance demands rubber.

The Divers 65 uses standard 21mm lugs. To replace the strap, you need a spring bar tool (a small metal instrument with two tips). Insert one tip into the groove of the lower lug, compress the internal spring, and extract the metal pin that secures the old strap. Position the new strap (21mm width) and reinsert the spring bar. This is a straightforward operation requiring delicacy to avoid scratching the bronze case.

All straps in 21mm lug width are compatible with the Divers 65, regardless of brand. Artisanal manufacturers such as Casati Milano offer bespoke straps in alligator, calf leather, and exotic leather, crafted to order based on the proportions of the case. Always verify that the strap is specifically constructed for 21mm to avoid passants that are too wide or narrow.

A natural leather strap with proper maintenance lasts 3–5 years on daily-wear wristwatches, especially if frequently exposed to chlorine, salt water, or UV radiation. Bronze absorbs moisture, which accelerates leather ageing. For intensive diving or marine use, we recommend FKM rubber, which resists 7–10 years.
