The Mido Ocean Star features straight lugs with integrated passanterie. Obtain a spring bar tool (T-shaped with two metal tips), position the tips on both sides of the spring bar retention spring, apply gentle upward pressure and slide the bar out of the lug. Repeat on the opposite side. Installing the new strap follows the reverse process: insert the bar into the first lug, slide the strap into the passant, and secure the bar end in the opposite lug.
