Straps are secured to the case via spring bars. Use a specialised tool or small screwdriver to compress the spring mechanism and extract the strap from the lug shoulder. Insert the new strap (21mm), aligning it correctly, and release the spring bar. Verify proper adhesion and secure fastening.

Any strap with a 21-millimetre lug width is compatible. Available in leather (alligator, calf, shell cordovan), textiles (NATO, canvas), natural and synthetic rubber. Always verify the width before ordering to prevent misalignment.

Durability depends on leather quality, wearing frequency, and moisture exposure. Robust calf leather typically lasts 3–5 years with daily wear; premium alligator can reach 7–10 years. Vegetable-tanned leather ages gracefully and develops patina, whilst chrome tanning is more resistant but less aesthetically rewarding.
