The lug width of this model is exactly 21 mm. Longines calibrated this width to maintain correct proportions on the 43 mm case. Verify the measurement by placing a digital calliper between the lugs from interior to interior, not exterior to exterior. Avoid measuring the old strap, as it will have settled over time.

Obtain a spring bar tool (two-pronged instrument for pin removal). Position the watch on a stable surface, insert the tool into the small hole beneath the lug, lift the elastic pin, and remove it gently. Repeat on the other side. Install the new strap by inserting the pins into the seats and ensuring they engage fully.
