The lug width of the Longines Conquest V.H.P. L3.716.4.66.9 is 20mm. This measurement is precise and tolerates no deviation: 22mm or 18mm straps will cause mechanical play or prevent fitting. Always measure with a digital calliper between the centres of the attachment holes.

The choice depends on usage: alligator for sportive-formal elegance, vegetable-tanned calf for moisture resistance and natural ageing, NATO for practicality and quick changes, vulcanised rubber for dynamic activities. The Conquest V.H.P. accommodates any material thanks to its versatile 41mm case and robust quartz movement.

Remove the spring bar using a dedicated spring bar tool or a fine pin, pushing downward to release the tension spring. Extract the old strap and position the new one, aligning the holes with the spring bar. Press until you hear a click. For Conquest V.H.P., 20mm lug width, verify that the new strap passes through without friction.

Only with Longines models featuring a 20mm lug width. Other brands (Tag Heuer, Seiko, Tissot) with 20mm lugs are geometrically compatible, but aesthetics may not align. Verify case-to-strap proportions before ordering.

Vegetable-tanned leather: 3–5 years with daily wear, develops natural patina. Chrome-tanned leather: 2–3 years, less moisture-resistant. Vulcanised rubber: 5–7 years. Alligator: 4–6 years with maintenance (avoid salty environments). Longevity depends on climate, skin perspiration, and periodic maintenance (cleaning, hydration with balm).
