A unique piece – in the literal sense. The Grand Cavalier Cuir originated from a British Ministry of Defence project: a one-piece strap that slides under the watch case, eliminating the problem of spring bars. If one fails, the strap remains on the wrist. This is not a minor detail.

The one-piece construction is what sets it apart from any other strap on the market. No vulnerable joints, no predictable breaking points. A continuous strip of leather — crafted in Italy — that embraces the case from side to side with the same logic as military service straps: to always function, in any condition.

On the wrist, the leather is immediately noticeable — soft, flat, with a contained thickness that does not interfere with the glove-friendly cuff of a suit or jacket. The brown is warm, mature, suitable for watches with history. Compatible with Omega Speedmaster and Seamaster, among others.

How does it work without spring bars?

It's a one-piece strap: a single strip of leather that passes under the case from side to side. It doesn't need a spring bar to stay on the wrist, and if one bar fails, the strap still remains attached.

Can I have it with traditional spring bars instead of the one-piece loop?
