The Longines Avigation L2.619.4.53.2 requires a strap with a lug width of 20 mm. This dimension must be measured precisely between the two lugs of the case using a digital calliper. Manufacturing tolerance is ±0.5 mm to ensure correct attachment without play.

The change requires a specific tool: a spring bar tool or flexible watchmaker's punch. Insert the tip into the lug opening, apply gentle pressure to retract the spring, then extract the metal bar. Repeat on the other lug. Insert the new strap by aligning the holes with the lugs, press until the spring clicks. This is a delicate operation: we recommend having it performed by a professional watchmaker to avoid damaging the lugs.
