Strap changes are straightforward. Use a spring bar tool: insert the forked tip beneath the pin protruding from the lug, push downward to compress the internal spring mechanism, and carefully withdraw the pin. Repeat on the opposite lug. The old strap will release. To fit the new strap, align the strap holes with the case pins, then push the pin inward using the spring bar tool until you hear a secure click. Do not force: if the strap will not fit, verify the lug width specification—it must be 18mm.

Absolutely not. A 16mm strap will create dangerous lateral play, risking wear and potential loss of the watch. A 20mm strap will not fit into the 18mm lugs. Anilline calf, being more delicate, shows aesthetic ageing more rapidly (visible within 1–2 years) but maintains strength for 4–6 years if protected from prolonged direct sunlight and excessive moisture.
