The Laco Chronographs 861917 features a 20mm lug width. This measurement is critical for proper strap compatibility: use a digital calliper perpendicular to the lugs to measure the internal distance between contact points, ensuring accurate measurement.

For this German chronograph we recommend: dark brown alligator for instrumental emphasis; black calf leather for professional contexts; slate grey NATO for daily versatility; black FKM rubber for technical use. Choose based on intended purpose and dial colour. Ideal thickness ranges from 1.4 to 1.6mm.

Position the watch on a stable surface with good lighting. Use a spring bar tool or plastic stick (never direct metal) to apply pressure inward on the lug, releasing the spring pin. Remove the old strap, verify pin integrity, insert the new strap by aligning the holes, and reposition the pin with firm pressure until locked.

All straps with 20mm lug width are compatible. Verify thickness is between 1.4 and 1.6mm to ensure smooth passage through the lugs without excessive play.
