The Portugieser IW5044-04 (aka: IW504404), seen from the bench

The IWC Portugieser IW5044-04 is a contemporary evolution of an icon originally created in 1939 as a precision instrument for Portuguese navigators. The platinum case measures 44.20 millimetres and features the IWC caliber 51900 movement with tourbillon escapement, Breguet hairspring, and power reserve indicator. The 21 mm lug width ensures proportional balance between case diameter and strap attachment, while platinum provides superior rigidity and corrosion resistance compared to white gold.
