The Portugieser Chronograph IW3712-06 is a 40.9mm stainless steel chronograph with a 20mm lug width, designed in the 1930s as a precision instrument for maritime use. Powered by the IWC caliber 76240 manual-wind movement featuring column wheel, rattrapante, and lever escapement, it represents the foundational philosophy of IWC: harmonious proportions, uncompromised readability, and structural reliability. The symmetrical subdial arrangement at 6 and 12 o'clock, combined with integrated lugs in AISI 316L surgical steel, provides superior rigidity while maintaining formal purity suitable for versatile strap pairing.
