No. The bracelet is integrated into the case structure: there is no standard lug to attach an off-the-shelf strap. The only option is a bespoke strap built directly on the watch, which is exactly what I do in my atelier.

I work exclusively by appointment at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I take the watch to the bench, study the geometry of the case and take every measurement directly from the original structure. I do not work from sketches or photographs: the watch must be present.

For the Big Bang I lean towards vulcanised natural rubber or a wide-scale Mississippi alligator. The case has an aggressive, architectural character: a fine or formal leather feels out of place. A matte-finished alligator holds its own against the personality of the case without overpowering it.

With normal care, a properly built strap lasts five to eight years of daily wear. Quality leather does not deteriorate: it transforms, absorbs light and carries the marks of time with dignity. I recommend keeping it away from prolonged exposure to water and letting it air-dry after warm days.

When Jean-Claude Biver launched the Big Bang in 2005, he brought together materials that had never been combined in watchmaking: resin, steel, rubber. I have seen many watches come through the bench over twenty years, and the Big Bang is one of the few where the choice of materials is structural, not merely aesthetic. Resin and steel do not coexist by accident: they change the weight, the feel on the wrist, and the way the case interacts with the strap.
