The lug width of the SBGE201 is 20mm, measured between the inner shoulders of both lugs. This specification allows fitting any standard 20mm strap without requiring custom lugs. To verify correct measurement, place a ruler between the inner bases of each lug, perpendicular to the case body.

There is no single 'best' choice, but three primary options: African alligator for formal elegance (regular grain, 1.4-1.6mm thickness), vegetable-tanned calf for patina that improves with time, and shell cordovan for legendary durability and colouration that naturally darkens. The SBGE201 is equipped with an integrated bracelet, not straight lugs. To replace it, remove the entire bracelet via locking bars (spring bars) concealed at 12 and 6 o'clock. Use a dedicated tool (spring bar remover) to gently release the bars, then slide the bracelet away. A new 20mm strap can be mounted by inserting the bars into the forward lug holes.
