To change the strap, you must remove the spring bars connecting the lug to the case shoulders. Use a dedicated spring bar tool to apply gentle lateral pressure on one bar, freeing one end of the strap. Repeat on the other side. Insert the new strap by aligning the lug holes with the bars and push until you hear a click. Verify the strap is firmly positioned before wearing the watch.

The longevity of a leather strap depends on the tanning method and frequency of use. Vegetable-tanned alligator can last 5-7 years with moderate daily wear. Shell cordovan, owing to its superior density, easily reaches 8-10 years. Technical rubber (FKM) offers similar resistance with reduced maintenance. Proper care—air-drying after moisture exposure, away from direct heat—significantly extends longevity.
