The Glashütte Original Pano 1-66-08-01-03-30 features a 21-millimetre lug width. This measurement corresponds to the internal distance between the two lugs of the case. It can be verified using a digital calliper, measured orthogonally across the internal space between the lugs. A 21mm lug width enables compatibility with the entire range of artisanal straps offered by Milano Straps, from leather variants to technical rubber options.

For the platinum Pano, we recommend two complementary options: Nile crocodile alligator in Hermès shade (warm grey-beige) to emphasise aesthetic purity, or shell cordovan in dark acajou for those desiring a patina that matures over time and superior wear resistance. Shell cordovan, vegetable-tanned horse leather, offers structural density befitting a watch of this calibre. For sporting contexts, a chevron NATO in navy-grey smoke transforms the Pano's formal character into everyday versatility.

To change the strap whilst maintaining case integrity, use a spring bar tool (pointed lever instrument). Position the lower tip beneath the lug pin, lift gently and slide the pin from its seat. Repeat for the opposite lug. Insert the new strap by aligning one lug first, then lift the pin with the spring bar tool and engage the opposite end, ensuring the pin sits completely flush. For 21mm lugs, verify that the artisanal strap's lug width aperture is compatible (typically 21±0.5mm).

Factors that reduce lifespan: prolonged exposure to saltwater, accumulated perspiration without cleaning, repeated lug flexure. We recommend six-monthly cleaning with soft cloths moistened with distilled water and application of leather conditioner annually to maintain elasticity and brilliance.
