Strap for DK 201

The Damasko DK201 features a lug width of 22 mm. This dimension is measured between the terminal points of the lugs on the case and represents the standard for medium to large timepieces. A 22 mm lug width provides access to an extensive range of aftermarket straps available in the market.

The ideal strap depends on intended use. For professional or formal settings, we recommend vegetable-tanned leather in dark brown or alligator in cognac tones, which enhance the watch's sober elegance. For sports contexts, a NATO in dark green or slate grey maintains versatility. For intensive use in humid environments, vulcanised rubber in black offers superior waterproofing and practicality.

Strap replacement is performed using spring bar tools to lever the pins connecting the lugs to the case. Gently release each pin laterally, one at a time. Remove the old strap and insert the new one by aligning the terminals with the lugs, then reinsert the pins until a slight security click is heard. The operation takes minutes and requires no specialist tools.

All straps with a 22 mm lug width are compatible with the DK201. This includes full-grain leather, calf skin, alligator, shell cordovan, military NATO, vulcanised rubber, and hybrid canvas-leather straps.
