The lug width of this model is 24mm. This dimension is proportioned to the 46mm case diameter and requires dedicated strap fittings. Measurement tolerance is ±0.5mm: always verify the internal lug width of your watch before ordering an aftermarket strap.

There is no universal choice. A vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather strap in havana tone creates thermal harmony with the blue dial, whilst a brilliant noir alligator amplifies contrast. For practicality, synthetic NATO or natural black rubber maintain the original sports identity. Selection depends on personal aesthetic balance and use context.

The Superocean Heritage features fixed lugs (not folding). Use a dedicated tool (spring bar remover, 1.5mm diameter) to extract the lateral containment pins from inside the lugs. Insert the new strap through both lugs and re-secure the pins until fully locked. Do not force: the lugs are robust steel, but leverage must be fluid.

Any strap with certified 24mm lug width is compatible. Verify the strap is manufactured for the exact width (not a generic range). The lifespan of a vegetable-tanned leather strap (Tuscan, calf, cordovan) varies based on frequency of wear, climate and maintenance. With regular wear and ordinary care, expect 3–5 years before the leather requires reconditioning or replacement. Vegetable tanning develops natural patina over time, enhancing aesthetic appeal. Protect from very humid environments and apply specific balms every 6–12 months.
