Selection depends on intended use and aesthetic preference. For vintage-style pairing with the case: Tuscan leather with vegetable tanning in tobacco brown or cognac tones. For formal elegance combined with moisture resistance: alligator with medium grain. For frequent diving or intensive water use: FKM or silicone rubber, guaranteeing consistent grip and rapid drying. Woven jacquard NATO straps are ideal for versatility and seasonal rotation.

The strap is changed by removing the spring bars that connect the strap to the case lugs. Use a dedicated tool (strap remover tool) or a small lever to push the pin laterally, releasing spring tension. Extract the old strap and insert the new one, ensuring the spring bars lock completely into the lugs. If uncertain, consult a professional watchmaker to avoid damage.

All straps with a 24mm lug width are compatible with the A1332024.C817.135S reference. Compatibility is guaranteed by lug width, not watch brand. You may select from specialist strap artisans, technical rubber manufacturers, or woven NATO straps. The essential requirement is that the strap features standard spring bars (spring bars) dimensioned for 24mm.

Durability depends on material and use intensity. A Tuscan vegetable-tanned leather strap typically lasts 3–5 years with daily wear, with patina improving aesthetically over time. Alligator offers comparable or superior longevity thanks to increased structural resistance. A cordovan shell strap may last 5–8 years if properly maintained and protected from prolonged moisture exposure. Rubber straps have longer lifespan (up to 10 years) but gradual texture deterioration.
