The choice depends on the intended use. For a dressed-up register, a hornback alligator strap in havana or dark brown complements the black dial beautifully. The Chronomat B01 42 uses standard 22 mm spring bars. Using a springbar tool, compress the bars from the lug ends and slide the strap free. The operation does not require professional tools, but should be carried out on a soft surface to avoid scratching the case. Insert the replacement 22 mm strap by hooking one end of the spring bar first, then compressing and securing the other.
