Recycled Military NATO Strap — Grey Red Edge
SKU: N11-GYRE-RE-20
Anthracite grey, red trim. A sober, almost military contrast, that doesn't demand attention — but gets it anyway.
100% recycled polyester is not an aesthetic concession: it's a precise material choice. The weave is compact, the colour is stable, and it behaves on the wrist like a classic NATO strap — flat, direct, reliable. The thickness is kept to 1.5mm so as not to alter the watch's profile. The 316L stainless steel rings and buckle complete the system without weak points.
Made in Italy. Compatible with any watch with 20mm or 22mm lugs.

WHAT WE DID
Milano Straps, always sensitive to the issue of sustainability and the ways in which a luxury product should be produced and distributed, has decided, in its small way, to contribute to the growth of an Eco-Luxury Positive economy.
Recently launched, the MSLabStraps line is a new series of eco-friendly NATO fabric straps made by recycling post-consumer plastic bottles collected in Northern Italy.
From one recycled plastic bottle, two MSLabStraps NATO straps are made.
Through a mechanical, non-chemical recycling process that is 100% Made in Italy certified throughout its fully traceable supply chain, the plastic from the bottles is shredded and transformed into high-quality, high-performance recycled polyester yarns for textile use.
The production of 1 kg of Newlife®, for the same quantity of virgin polymer, allows a reduction in energy consumption of 60%, CO2 emissions of 32%, and water consumption of 94%.
Domande Frequenti
Does recycled polyester really hold up over time, or is it one of those things that degrades after two seasons?
It is not a standalone green choice. The recycled polyester used here is selected for tight weave and colour stability—behaviours consistent with the classic NATO. 1.5mm thickness, 316L steel at the rings: the strap will not deform. What changes is the natural patina the nylon develops over time, as occurs with traditional NATOs, but the structure holds.
Does it work on both 20mm and 22mm watches, or do I need to be careful?
Compatible with both. The lug width is specified for 20-22mm. If your watch has either of these measurements, the strap will fit. If it falls outside this range, it will not.
That anthracite grey with the red edge—how understated is it really, or is this a strap that demands attention?
The contrast is subdued, almost military in code. It does not seek attention: it is the kind of detail one notices only afterwards. The red edge is not a bright stripe—it is a restrained accent. If you are looking for something that disappears on the wrist, this is not it. If you are looking for something textural but not loud, then yes.
27cm total length—is it long enough for large wrists?
It is the standard length of a classic NATO. If you have always had length issues with NATO straps, this one will share the same limitations. If standard NATOs have always worked for you, this will not surprise you.
The 316L steel at the rings—what difference does it make compared with cheaper steel?
316L offers superior resistance to corrosion and wear. At the rings it matters because that is where the strap flexes most. It is not an invisible specification: you see it in the longevity of the hardware, particularly if the strap is regularly exposed to water or perspiration.
