Chèvre is goatskin with a fine, compact grain. It has tight fibres, controllable thickness, and a structure that holds without becoming stiff. Alran—a leading tannery for this material—processes it with vegetable and synthetic tanning. No CITES required, no exotic origin restrictions.

It ages gracefully: it develops a slight patina without becoming soft. It works well with vintage dress watches and classic tool watches like the 40mm Submariner or 40mm Explorer. Available in 18, 20, and 22mm.
