Frequently asked questions
How do I measure my watch's lug width?
I take a ruler or a caliper and measure the distance between the two lugs, where the strap fits in. The most common sizes are 18, 20 and 22 mm. At Milano Straps you'll also find 16, 19, 21 and 24 mm.
Does the hybrid rubber-alligator strap resist sea water?
Yes, the biological rubber isn't affected by sea water. After a swim, I rinse the strap and dry it thoroughly before putting it back on the wrist.
Should the alligator part be kept away from water?
The alligator back should be treated like leather: I clean it with a dry cloth and keep it away from perfume. The rubber part, on the other hand, can go into water without any issue.
Can I fit this hybrid strap on my watch myself?
Yes, all you need is a spring bar tool. I remove the old strap and fit the new one in the same size, checked between the two lugs.
