Strap for Overseas Chronograph Stainless Steel / Brown
Integrated bracelet: measurements, the most common questions, and the way to a made-to-measure strap.
Integrated bracelet
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas 5500V-110A-B147 is designed with a bracelet integrated into the case. For a compatible made-to-measure strap, the Casati Milano atelier builds it on your watch.

Frequently asked questions
Can a standard strap be fitted to the Vacheron Constantin Overseas 5500V-110A-B147?
No. The bracelet is integrated directly into the case, with proprietary attachments that do not accept aftermarket straps. This is a deliberate design decision, not a limitation to work around with adapters. In the atelier I build each strap to measure, starting from the actual geometry of the case.
How does the bespoke strap service work for this model?
I work by appointment only at Casati Milano, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements directly from the case, and build the strap around its real geometry. There are no templates: every piece is made from scratch for that specific watch.
Which leather do I recommend for the Overseas?
I prefer French Barenia. The Overseas has a sporting character but a rigorous construction, and Barenia responds well to both: it holds up to daily wear, develops a lived-in patina over time, and never pretends to be more formal than it is. Mississippi Alligator gives a more dressy result, but for someone wearing this watch every day, Barenia is the more honest choice.
How long does a well-made strap last?
With basic care — keeping it away from prolonged water exposure, letting it dry properly if it gets wet, conditioning the leather once a year — I easily reach five or six years of regular use. The leather does not deteriorate: it changes, picks up marks, tells a story. What I see at the bench is that well-kept straps improve with time, not the opposite.
The Overseas has been around for nearly thirty years: what changed in 2016?
The original project dates from 1996. In 2016 Vacheron Constantin rethought the Overseas thoroughly: new case proportions, a redesigned hexagonal bezel, and above all the bracelet with Maltese cross-shaped links referencing the Maison's historic emblem. It was not a surface refresh. It became an object more coherent with itself.
The next step
The right strap isn't chosen. It is built, together.
From the atelier appointment to delivery, every step is made for those who know that things done well take time. Rare leathers, one piece at a time, eighteen months of warranty.
