No. The bracelet is integrated directly into the case: the attachment is proprietary and a standard strap simply will not fit. This is not a drawback — it is a precise architectural choice. That is precisely why I build every strap for this model to measure in the atelier, starting from the actual geometry of the case.

I work exclusively by appointment at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, Via XX Settembre 15, Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements directly from the case, and shape every attachment by hand, millimetre by millimetre. There is no ready-made template: each strap is built from scratch on that specific piece.

My choice is Mississippi alligator. The Overseas has a dual character — sporting in its structure, refined in its heritage — and alligator follows it on both fronts. The natural grain engages with the hexagonal bezel without overwhelming it. If you prefer something that grows richer with time, aged Barenia is my second choice, without hesitation.

With ordinary care, a quality leather strap lasts between five and eight years of daily wear. Quality leather does not deteriorate — it transforms. Avoid prolonged contact with water, let the strap breathe after an intense day, and the patina that develops over the years becomes part of the watch's character.

The Maltese Cross has been Vacheron Constantin's emblem since the eighteenth century. When Jörg Hysek designed the Overseas in 1996, he translated that shape into the twelve sides of the bezel — not as ornamentation, but as a mark of identity. It is one of those details I always notice at the bench: the moment the watch is on the surface, that geometry speaks for itself.
