Strap for Overseas Automatic 35 Stainless Steel / Blue / Bracelet
Integrated bracelet: measurements, the most common questions, and the way to a made-to-measure strap.
Integrated bracelet
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas 4600V/200A-B980 is designed with a bracelet integrated into the case. For a compatible made-to-measure strap, the Casati Milano atelier builds it on your watch.

Frequently asked questions
Can a standard strap be fitted to the Vacheron Constantin Overseas 4600V/200A-B980?
No. The bracelet is integrated directly into the case: there is no standard lug to attach an aftermarket strap. The connection is proprietary, designed by Vacheron Constantin as part of the overall architecture. For this reason, every alternative strap must be built to measure, directly on the watch.
How does the bespoke strap service work for this Overseas?
I work exclusively by appointment at Casati Milano, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, study the hexagonal bezel and shape every attachment by hand to ensure visual continuity with the case. There are no pre-made templates: each piece is born on that specific watch.
Which leather do I recommend for this model?
For the Overseas I almost always choose Mississippi Alligator with a symmetrical scale pattern. The character of this watch is sporty at heart but rigorous in form — and the symmetrical scale mirrors that geometry without shouting. Barenia is a valid second choice, for those who prefer a subtler ageing and a softer hand feel.
How long does a well-made strap last?
With minimal care — keeping it away from prolonged water exposure and letting it breathe between wearings — a quality leather strap easily lasts five to seven years. Hand-tanned alligator tends to improve over time: it softens and develops a personal patina. It is one of the things I have seen many times at the bench, and it still strikes me every time.
What makes the Overseas different from other elegant sports watches?
The hexagonal bezel is not a decorative detail: it is a structural choice referencing the ribs of the Eiffel Tower and the Maltese Cross, Vacheron Constantin's historic symbol. Jörg Hysek designed this case in 1996 building a rare formal coherence — every element responds to another. It is this internal rigour that sets it apart, not the name on the dial.
The next step
The right strap isn't chosen. It is built, together.
From the atelier appointment to delivery, every step is made for those who know that things done well take time. Rare leathers, one piece at a time, eighteen months of warranty.
