No. The bracelet is integrated directly into the case with a proprietary Maltese Cross attachment: a standard strap simply will not connect. The only viable option is to have a strap made to measure, built around the actual geometry of the original attachment. That is what I do in the atelier, every single time.

I bring the watch to the bench, study the curves of the attachment and take every measurement directly from the case. I do not work from photographs or data sheets: the Overseas has too specific a geometry to allow any approximation.

For a watch with this sportive yet elegant character, I prefer natural Barenia: it ages with wear, develops its own patina and works equally well with a suit or casual dress. Alternatively, a deep blue Swift holds up well to the dynamic character of the case without pushing too formal a register.

With quality leather and solid craftsmanship, I count on five to eight years of regular wear. A great deal depends on care: keeping leather away from water and conditioning it occasionally makes an enormous difference. A good Barenia improves with time — the patina that forms is part of the strap, not a flaw.

The Overseas comes from a Maison with nearly three centuries of history, yet its hexagonal bezel and integrated attachment system speak a clearly contemporary language. This is not a concession to the market: it is a deliberate stylistic choice, built around an architectural coherence you can sense even when you hold the strap in your hands. I have seen very few watches in which form and function speak to each other with this clarity.
