To measure accurately, use a digital calliper and measure the distance between the two horizontal lugs of the case—one at 12 o'clock and one at 6 o'clock. Do not measure the case itself, but only the space between the lugs: you will obtain exactly 20mm. This precision is essential when selecting an aftermarket strap.

Using a small springbar tool or even a thin metal clip, gently push the pin from one side, sliding it out of its seat. Once the pin is removed, the old strap detaches. Insert the new strap into the lug slots, align the holes and reinsert the pin until locked. Verify that the strap is firmly secured before wearing the watch.
