The lug width of the Tudor Classic 22010-0011 is 20 millimetres precisely. This measurement is rigid and does not allow significant tolerances: a strap must fit exactly this width to run smoothly between the lugs without creating gaps or forcing.

Strap replacement is carried out by removing the pins (or deployante if present) that secure the strap to the case lugs. Using a dedicated tool (spring bar tool), gently push the lateral pins inward, freeing them from their seat. Once removed, the old strap separates easily. Installation of the new strap follows the reverse path: insert the pins into the lug holes, verifying they are perfectly aligned and secure.

The lifespan of a leather strap depends on material, frequency of use and environmental exposure. A superior alligator resists 3-5 years in daily use before showing visible signs of wear; a vegetable-tanned calf, softer, may last 18-24 months under intensive conditions.
