The lug width of the PIC.10010 is 22 millimetres. It is measured from the base of the upper attachment to the base of the lower attachment, perpendicular to the case centre. This dimension is compatible with all straps specifically constructed for this width, ensuring precise and secure fit.

Alligator remains the natural choice for this model: the leather's grain develops a patina that dialogues elegantly with ageing rose gold. For high-quality alternatives, we recommend vegetable-tanned calf or structured rubber with deployante. Avoid synthetic leather or low-quality plastic components.

Strap replacement requires two essential tools: a spring bar tool and a protected flat surface. Insert the tool under the spring bar from one side, move the button towards the case centre to disengage it from the hole, then extract the bar. Repeat from the opposite side and remove the worn strap. Install the new one by reversing the procedure, ensuring both spring bars are fully seated in the attachments.

Any strap constructed for 22mm lug width is compatible with the J-Class PIC.10010. Measure your watch before purchase: if the lug width is precisely 22 millimetres, the strap will fit perfectly. Pay attention to overall length (pad-to-pad): the model should fully cover the attachments without excessively extending beyond the lugs.

A fine leather strap, used daily, maintains full functionality for 3–5 years. Longevity depends on tanning: vegetable-tanned leathers age magnificently but require regular maintenance (cleaning, conditioning). Modern drum-dyed leathers resist longer. Typical wear manifests as thinning at the spring bar junctions and fraying of edges. Replacement remains the ideal treatment rather than cosmetic repairs.
