Strap for Prospex Sky SSG005P1 Stainless Steel / Black

The lug width of the Seiko Prospex Sky SSG005P1 is 22mm. This measurement must be calculated from the centre of the spring bar to the inner edge of the lug. It is critical to verify this dimension before purchasing an aftermarket strap, as even a 1mm discrepancy can cause play or installation difficulty.

For the Seiko Prospex Sky SSG005P1, we recommend vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather in tobacco brown or dark tones, which creates an elegant workbench aesthetic. Alternatively, black shell cordovan emphasizes the tool-watch severity. For authentic aeronautical use, a grey or black tactical NATO is the most robust choice.

Strap replacement requires a spring bar tool. Gently press one side of the spring bar whilst keeping the strap stable, extract the bar from the lug, remove the old strap and insert the new one. Verify that the strap is centred relative to the lug and that the spring bars are fully seated.
