Strap for Prospex Diver SNE435P1 Stainless Steel / Blue

The lug width of the SNE435P1 is 20 mm. This measurement is standard for the 43.50 mm case and is compatible with all straps specified for this width. To verify compatibility, measure the distance between the lugs (metal pins) on the case: it must be exactly 20 mm from inner edge to inner edge.

It depends on intended use. For frequent water exposure: vulcanised rubber or ballistic nylon NATO. For formal elegance whilst maintaining diving identity: black or antique brown alligator with vegetable tanning. For daily versatility: vegetable-tanned calf leather, which develops natural patina over time. We advise against unsaturated plain leather, vulnerable to salt water and chlorine.

Remove the original strap by pushing the lug pins outward using a steel tool: insert the tip into the lateral groove on the case, apply gentle outward pressure. The pin slides out. Align the new strap with the case holes, reinsert the pin from left to right until you hear a click. Verify the strap is centred and that the clasp (deployante or standard buckle) operates smoothly.

Yes, provided the lug width is between 19.8 and 20.2 mm. Ensure the strap is at least 3.5 mm thick near the lug holes, otherwise the pins may not secure effectively. Milano Straps 20mm straps are tested on Prospex Divers and guarantee correct tolerances.

Durability depends on tanning method and usage. Vegetable-tanned leather: 3–5 years with occasional immersion and regular maintenance (cleaning, conditioning). Commercial chromium-tanned leather: 18–24 months if regularly exposed to salt water. Vulcanised rubber lasts 5–7 years. Ballistic textile NATO: 4–6 years. Proper maintenance (post-swim drying, sun protection) significantly extends strap lifespan.
