Integrated bracelet: measurements, the most common questions, and the way to a made-to-measure strap.
Integrated bracelet
The Patek Philippe Twenty~4 4909/101R is designed with a bracelet integrated into the case. For a compatible made-to-measure strap, the Casati Milano atelier builds it on your watch.

Frequently asked questions
Can a standard strap be fitted to the Patek Philippe Twenty~4 4909/101R?
No. The bracelet is integrated into the case: there is no standard lug to attach an off-the-shelf strap. It is a deliberate design decision, and respecting it means working differently. In the atelier, I build the attachment directly on the watch, to measure.
How does the bespoke strap service work for this model?
I work by appointment only, at Casati Milano, in Via XX Settembre 15, Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements from the case, and study the lines of the original bracelet. Only then do I choose the leather and build the attachment. It cannot be done remotely: every case has its own geometry.
Which leather do I recommend for the Twenty~4 in rose gold?
I prefer Swift. Its silky surface works beautifully with the rose gold finish, without overpowering the lines of the rectangular case. If the character of the piece is more formal and the client wants something more structured, Mississippi Alligator is my second choice — but Swift is what feels most coherent with this watch.
How long does a well-made strap last on a watch like this?
With ordinary care — keeping it away from water, letting it breathe between wearings — a quality leather strap easily lasts five to seven years. The leather ages, but it ages well: it takes on the character of the person wearing it. That is one of the things I have always valued about handcrafted work compared to a metal bracelet.
The Twenty~4 was launched in 1999 — what still makes it relevant today?
The rectangular case never stopped working on the wrist. Patek designed it to sit between a watch and a wrist piece, and that tension has remained intact. I have seen clients wear it with everything, from an evening dress to a casual blazer. It is not a question of fashion: it is a question of proportions that simply work.
