No. The bracelet is integrated into the case with proprietary curved lugs: a standard strap has no way of attaching. There are no reliable adapters that respect the original architecture. The only proper solution is a bespoke strap built directly on the watch.

I work exclusively by appointment at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I take measurements directly from the case at the bench, curve by curve. I do not use generic templates: every strap is made for that specific piece, no other.

For a watch with this character — sporting yet built with Genevan rigour — I prefer vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather. It ages with dignity, develops a patina that suits the spirit of the watch, and holds up well under daily use. Alligator is possible, but on a model born to move I find natural leather makes more sense.

With ordinary care, five years of regular use is a reasonable benchmark. I keep the leather away from prolonged water exposure and let it dry naturally after warm days. Over time good leather does not deteriorate — it forms. A quality vegetable tan develops real character precisely where it flexes most.

It was designed in 1997 as a sporting counterpart to the Nautilus, but with its own identity: the 'Grenade' case and the embossed chequered dial set it clearly apart. It is not a variation — it is a design with its own formal logic. I have seen many high-end sports watches at the bench, and few have this level of coherence between case, dial and bracelet.
