I work on this model exclusively through <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, by appointment at the atelier on Via XX Settembre 15, Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, study the geometry of the fitting, and build every element from zero, shaping the leather directly on the case. There is no template: each strap is born from that specific watch.

For this model I choose aged Barenia. It is a leather that carries the marks of time with dignity, and it suits the Aquanaut's sporting yet elegant character: not too formal, never predictable. With wear it develops a patina that tells years of wrist time, not years spent in a drawer.

With quality leather and minimal care, I count on five, six, even seven years of daily use. Keep it away from prolonged exposure to water and let it breathe between wearings. Good leather does not deteriorate: it changes, it settles, it becomes more personal. That ageing is precisely what sets a proper strap apart from one you discard after two years.

The 'Grenade' shape draws from the aesthetics of racing yachts: decisive lines, geometry that leaves no room for ambiguity. The same logic applies to the strap: every curve, every thickness must respect that structure. Mediocre work breaks the dialogue between case and wrist. That is why I accept no compromises on the shaping of the fitting.
