Frequently asked questions

Can you fit a standard strap on the Parmigiani Fleurier Pershing?

No, the bracelet is integrated into the case — the lugs are proprietary. A standard strap won't fit. For a change, you need a bespoke solution: I work directly on your case's geometry, with no compromises.

How does the bespoke strap work for this model?

Come to Casati Milano, by appointment. I take measurements directly from your case, study the proprietary lugs and craft the strap by hand. There are no templates — each piece is singular.

Which leather do you recommend for the Pershing?

I prefer Barenia or cordovan for this watch. The Pershing is both sporty and refined, architecturally minded — it needs leather that ages with character, that develops patina. Barenia especially dialogues well with the brushed steel, maturing over time.

How long does a well-made strap last?

It depends on wear: with care, 4-5 years of daily use, sometimes longer. Good leather ages, it doesn't fail — the colour deepens, the fibres soften. An advantage: if the strap wears, I rebuild the lugs and you keep the same seasoned leather.

Is the Pershing a sports instrument or an elegant piece?

Both, but as pure geometry. The Pershing is organic construction — a 42mm chronograph in steel, designed for the wrist with aerospace logic. It's not showy, it's disciplined. That's why strap choice becomes critical: it must respect that absolute line.

The next step

The right strap isn't chosen. It is built, together.

From the atelier appointment to delivery, every step is made for those who know that things done well take time. Rare leathers, one piece at a time, eighteen months of warranty.
