This dimension is critical: 20mm straps sit slightly loose, whilst 22mm straps create unwanted gaps.

Selection depends on intended use. For formal elegance, select vegetable-tanned alligator in dark brown or high-grain calf leather. For water resistance and practical durability, vulcanised rubber in black or deep blue performs exceptionally. For versatility, Cordura NATO fabric in charcoal grey permits rapid changes and structural integrity during field activities.

Remove the watch and locate the spring bars—small metal rods securing the strap to the lugs. Deploy a dedicated tool to compress the spring gently, withdrawing the bar end from the lug. Repeat on both sides. Insert the new strap by pressing the spring bar until you hear the distinct 'click' of engagement.
