The lug width of the Speedmaster Reduced 3836.70.36 is 18mm. This width is specific to this model and requires dedicated straps. To measure the lug width correctly, place a ruler perpendicularly from shoulder to shoulder on the inner side of the watch's metal lugs.

For this chronograph we recommend leather with vegetable tanning in dark brown or smoke grey shades, which enhance the brushed finish of the steel case. Smoke grey alligator is a more elegant and durable choice. For sporty daily use, black or anthracite FKM rubber is ideal. For formal occasions, natural shell cordovan adds refinement.

Position the watch face-down, insert the tool under the metal lug, gently push the spring bar upward and the strap will come out of its seat. Repeat on the other side. To install the new 18mm strap, align the holes and reinsert the spring bars until they click into place.
