The Omega Constellation 123.55.27.20.58.001 features an 18mm lug width. This measurement is specifically calibrated by Omega to maintain harmonious proportions of the 27mm case. To verify compatibility, measure the distance between the two spring bar attachment points with a digital caliper.

For this model we recommend alligator for absolute elegance, modern-tanned calf leather for daily versatility, or shell cordovan for those who desire a strap that develops patina over time. For summer or sports use, FKM rubber or woven NATO offer practicality without sacrificing Constellation style.

Strap changing is done via the lateral attachment spring bars. Equip yourself with the appropriate tool (spring bar tool) to gently extract the pins without scratching the case. The pins should slide out smoothly; if they resist, do not force them to avoid damaging the housings. Repeat the operation symmetrically on the other side.

Any strap designed for an 18mm lug width is physically compatible with this model. We recommend, however, verifying the total finished strap thickness (maximum 5-6mm to avoid altering the aesthetic proportions of the 27mm case). Durability depends on the material and usage. Alligator and cordovan last 4-6 years of daily use before requiring buckle replacement. Modern calf resists 3-4 years.
