Frequently asked questions

Can you fit a standard strap on this Omega Aqua Terra?

No. The bracelet is integrated into the case — there is no standard lug where a strap would attach. I've watched many try, thinking any strap would work: the case architecture simply doesn't allow it. That's why I craft a bespoke strap directly on your watch, shaped to your bicolour case.

How does the bespoke strap process work?

I work only at Casati Milano, by appointment. I bring the watch to the workbench, study the geometry of the case and its attachment points, take all measurements by hand. Then I build the strap knowing precisely how it must sit on that specific case.

Which leather would you choose for the Aqua Terra with mother-of-pearl?

I recommend Mississippi Alligator or tabac Swift. This watch lives between elegance and sport — it has a hybrid character that demands a leather with presence, not something ordinary. Alligator holds a natural lustre that speaks well with the mother-of-pearl and gold; Swift ages into a warm patina that perfectly balances the restraint of steel.

How long does a well-made strap last?

With ordinary care, quality leather easily reaches 5 to 8 years. It depends on wear — if you put it on daily, the leather lives, softens, develops a patina that is genuinely beautiful. Those who treat it properly, wiping it occasionally with a damp cloth, see the strap age as it should: more handsome over time.

Why is the mother-of-pearl dial so special on this model?

Mother-of-pearl is alive — it's not flat enamel. It catches light differently at every hour of the day, reveals hues that shift with your angle. I've spent years studying this quality: on a watch of this bicolour elegance, that dial becomes the heart of the composition. It deserves a strap that doesn't distract, that respects that subtle iridescence.
