For this Tangente we recommend black or brown alligator for formal elegance, vegetable-tanned calf for progressive patina development, or canvas NATO for daily wear. A deployante in stainless steel with calf leather ensures material coherence with the satin case. Avoid straps with polished finishes or coloured stitching: Bauhaus minimalism demands understatement.

Use a spring bar tool (two-pronged instrument) to gently compress the spring bar and release one end from its seat. Proceed by alternating sides to distribute effort evenly. Maintain steady pressure: the 179.S26 in satin stainless steel marks easily. Clean the lugs from previous strap fibres before mounting the new one.

Any strap with nominal 18 mm lug width is compatible. Always verify manufacturing tolerance (maximum ±0.3 mm).
