The lug width of the Mido Multifort M005.430.22.031.80 is 22mm. This is the internal distance between the lugs that attach the strap to the case. Any strap with a 22mm lug width will fit perfectly without modification.

As a rationalist-inspired Swiss instrument, the Multifort pairs excellently with alligator leather or vegetable-tanned European calf. Dark brown alligator emphasises the case's structural integrity, whilst light grey calf amplifies its geometric elegance. For daily wear, a cotton NATO or high-density rubber sports strap is equally appropriate.

Strap replacement is straightforward: remove the spring bars connecting the current strap using a spring bar tool. Insert the new 22mm strap by threading the bars through the lug holes, ensuring they lock completely. The operation is fully reversible, ideal for rotating seasonal straps or adapting to different occasions.
