The IWC Pilot IW3718-03, known as Big Pilot's Watch, evolved from IWC Schaffhausen's chronographs supplied to the Luftwaffe since 1936. This 44 mm stainless steel case features an oversized onion crown, anthracite dial with luminescent Arabic numerals, and houses the IWC caliber 79230 movement with chronograph, rattrapante, hours, minutes, small seconds, date and day functions. The 20 mm lug width ensures optimal ergonomics and visual balance for the case diameter. Designed for extreme legibility under stress and poor lighting, every element serves precise functional requirements.
