The lug width of the Formex Pilot 1100.4.3014.110 is 22mm. This specification is engraved on the dial side of the case and verifiable with a digital calliper measured between the two lugs. Manufacturing tolerance is ±0.2mm, ensuring complete compatibility with the 22mm aftermarket strap ecosystem.

Selection depends on tactical context. For robust daily use: vegetable-tanned leather, 4–5mm thickness. For rapid modularity: NATO strap in woven polyamide, 1.2mm minimum. For humid or perspiration-intensive environments: FKM (Viton) or silicone rubber. The strap must never appear undersized relative to the 46.5mm titanium case; prefer oversizing to visual undersizing.

Remove the spring bars with a dedicated tool or 1.5mm flat-head screwdriver. Position the tip beneath the spring terminal, push toward the case centre to release the lug. The pin will slide out laterally. Reverse the procedure for the new strap. Verify that pins are in stable position before wearing. Operation time: 2–3 minutes per side.
