Strap for World Chronograph A-T

The lug width of the AT8020-03L is 23 millimetres. This measurement is standard for 43mm watches and is compatible with all artisanal straps in our 23mm collection. To verify compatibility, measure the space between the lugs using a digital calliper.

The choice depends on intended use. For formal environments, we recommend alligator in brown or smoke grey tones. For durability and natural ageing, vegetable-tanned calf leather in dark brown is ideal. For pure sporting aesthetics, a NATO strap in canvas or woven nylon. For aquatic conditions, vulcanised FKM rubber.

The strap is replaced by removing the suspension pins (spring bars) at the case ends using a dedicated tool. Position the watch on a soft surface, slightly compress the spring with the tool to create space, and slide out the old strap. Insert the new strap by aligning the holes with the pins, pressing until you hear the locking click.

Leather strap lifespan depends on usage intensity and care. Vegetable-tanned calf worn daily under normal conditions typically lasts 3-5 years before showing significant signs of fatigue. Alligator, being more resilient, tends to last 5-7 years. Natural leather straps improve with ageing, developing a patina that increases the aesthetic value of the piece.
