The Certina DS Podium C0014101603701 has a lug width of 19.00mm. This measurement is specific to the DS Podium family and is taken by placing a digital calliper perpendicular to the base of the lug where the spring bar pins converge. Do not confuse lug width with lug thickness—the width is always 19mm.

A vegetable-tanned leather strap (thickness 1.4–1.6mm) or black alligator leather offer balanced sportiness and elegance. For frequent water use, vulcanised FKM rubber is recommended. A Ballistic canvas NATO strap represents the most versatile and chromatically reversible option.

Strap replacement requires a spring bar tool. Position the watch on a soft surface, insert the tool's tip under the spring bar pin, lift gently until the pin end is released from the lug, extract the pin and old strap. Repeat on the other side. To install the new strap, insert the spring bar pin through the new strap's lugs and compress until it clicks into the watch case seats.

Any strap with a 19mm lug width is mechanically compatible. We recommend artisanal leather, alligator, shell cordovan, or Ballistic canvas NATO straps. Always verify that the spring bar pin is cylindrical (standard) and not tapered, to avoid anomalous stress on the lugs.
