The Certina DS Caimano C035.007.11.117.00 features a 15-millimetre lug width. This uncommon standard, compared to 20 or 22 millimetres, was deliberately selected to maintain proportional balance with a 29-millimetre case diameter. The lug width is measured between the lug pins on the case.

We recommend a vegetable-tanned calf leather of medium thickness (1.4-1.6mm), or alternatively an alligator in mid-brown tone. To change the strap, remove the lug pins connecting the strap to the lugs. Use a Spring Bar Removal Tool (small steel rod), insert it into the internal spring of the pin, apply gentle pressure, and extract. Insert the new 15mm strap and reinsert the pins until they click into position.
