Frequently asked questions
Can you fit a standard strap to the Casio G-Shock GA-110 GA-110TS-8A4?
No. The bracelet is integrated into the case — there are no standard lugs where you can thread a strap. I've seen many customers discover this after purchase. On this model I work directly in the workshop, building the strap bespoke around your case geometry.
How does a bespoke strap work for the G-Shock GA-110?
You visit Casati Milano, by appointment only. I take measurements of your case directly at the bench, centimetre by centimetre. Then I shape the strap in technical leather so it integrates seamlessly with the existing lugs. It's precise work, not quick.
Which leather do I recommend for a G-Shock GA-110?
I prefer robust vegetable-tanned leathers — vegetable chromium or resilient anilines. This watch was built for the street, the gym, the active wrist. Soft leather wears out too quickly. Hard hide ages badly next to resin. I seek balance: leather that moves with the strap, absorbs impact, grows more beautiful over time.
How long does a well-made strap last on this model?
It depends on use and care. If you wear it every day without protection, I'll give you 4–5 years before the leather shows serious fatigue. If you maintain it — light care every six months, protection from heavy sweat — 7–8 years is normal. Leather ages with dignity, it doesn't fall apart.
Why does the GA-110 have this asymmetrical design, so difficult to modify?
It stems from Kikuo Ibe's vision in the '80s: a watch that resists drops, impacts, compression. The integrated protections, the shaped lugs — it all serves a purpose. It's not aesthetic whimsy, it's structure. This is why a bespoke strap isn't optional: it must dialogue with that geometry, respect it. That's what I've learned at the bench over time.
The next step
