Frequently asked questions
Can I fit a standard strap on the Casio G-Shock GA-110 GA-110C-7A?
No, the bracelet is integrated into the resin case. The attachment is proprietary and a conventional strap won't fit. For this model, I craft a custom strap directly at the atelier, shaped to the original case.
How does the custom strap work for the GA-110?
I work at Casati Milano, by appointment only. I take measurements directly from the case, millimetre by millimetre, to build custom lugs that respect the shock-resistant structure without altering it.
Which leather do you recommend for the Casio G-Shock GA-110?
I prefer vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather. This watch was born sporty but carries an almost urban geometry: natural leather ages with character, develops patina, and absorbs the years without losing strength. It's the right companion for someone who doesn't rush.
How long does a well-made strap last?
With quality leather, 8–12 years of daily wear. It depends on how you treat it: sun and humidity are enemies. If you care for it—a little natural oil now and then—the leather ages well, the creases tell the story. It's not a quick replacement; it's an object that grows with you.
Why does the GA-110 represent a different step in Casio's history?
It was the first G-Shock with that 55mm multi-layered case, born from Kikuo Ibe's vision in the 1980s. It changed the language of toughness: not elegant for elegance's sake, but engineered to endure. That's why a custom strap becomes not an accessory, but respect for an architecture.
Can I bring the custom strap to the atelier for future repair?
Yes, I work in Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. If the strap wears out, I repair or remake it. It's not a disposable product—it's built to last, and I'm here for it.
The next step
