Frequently asked questions

Can you fit a standard strap on a Casio G-Shock GA-110?

No. The bracelet is integrated into the case with proprietary lugs — a standard strap won't attach. That's why I build the strap directly in the atelier, modelled precisely to your case's morphology.

How does the bespoke strap process work at Casati Milano?

Everything is studied directly on your watch. You bring the GA-110, I take exact measurements of the integrated lug system, and draft the strap by hand. Casati Milano works by appointment only — Via XX Settembre 15, Milan. No standardisation, only surgical precision and dialogue between the case design and the leather we choose together.

Which leather would you recommend for this model?

I prefer extra-robust Tuscan leather. The GA-110 is brutal, functional, built to endure — a leather that patinas hard, that marks, that tells a story through use. It gets dirty, it scuffs, and on a watch this technical, that conversation between sport and refinement becomes visible over time.

How long does a well-made strap last?

It depends on the leather and how you treat it. Tuscan leather lasts years — six, seven, more. Leather ages, develops patina, wears at the edges if you wear it daily. That's the beauty of it: it doesn't stay pristine, it holds a story. Light maintenance — wipe it dry, apply a neutral oil now and then — keeps it sound.

Why is the GA-110 so distinctive among G-Shocks?

It's the asymmetrical ana-digi case — analogue and digital display together. When Ibe designed it, he chose pure brutalism, no aesthetic compromise. Fitting a strap to this kind of architecture means honouring that vision, not hiding it. It's a watch that doesn't want harmony: it wants resistance.
